The history of the emergence of the name "Copernicus" is somewhat strange and at the same time prosaic. The founders decided to pay tribute to the unjustly forgotten Nicolaus Copernicus - the famous mathematician, economist and astronomer (previously the institution was located on Copernicus Street). In honor of him, they named, by the way, the largest, until recently, anti-cafe in Russia.

Just like Copernicus, anti-cafe was a pioneer, offering visitors a different format of pastime - spacious rooms and no crampedness, as is customary in most such places. Not far from the Muzeon Park, on Bolshaya Yakimanka Street in the Copernicus house, the Copernicus cafe has opened. Representatives of the institution told The Village about this.

The kitchen of the new establishment is headed by Kirill Golikov, a member of the national guild of chefs, TV host of culinary programs, who has been working in the restaurant industry for 20 years. The cafe is run by Svetlana Vorobyova, who previously worked for Correa's, Mari Vanna, Michel's Bakery and Uilliams.

For breakfast, which is still served here all day, guests are offered to order an omelet (150 rubles), fried eggs (150 rubles), oatmeal(150 rubles), cheese cakes with sour cream and raspberry sauce (250 rubles), cottage cheese with sour cream and mint (250 rubles), pancakes with sour cream or condensed milk (180 rubles), toast bread sandwich with chicken breast(280 rubles) or with smoked turkey (300 rubles). Later, breakfasts will be prepared on weekdays from 08:00 to 12:00, and on weekends from 09:00 to 15:00.
