I would like to warn you right away that radish should be consumed with caution by people who suffer from gastrointestinal diseases: ulcers, colitis, pancreatitis, etc. For such people, radish can cause nausea. To reduce the concentration of specific substances in the radish, we will soak it in cool water. But first things first.

So, for ours we need:

  • fresh white cabbage (1 small head or half a large one);
  • 1 medium radish;
  • salt to taste;
  • olive oil for dressing;

First, we chop the cabbage and crush it a little with our hands so that it gives juice. Now mix it with salt and leave it for half an hour.

In the meantime, let's get to the radishes. It needs to be peeled, washed and filled with cold boiled water. Leave it like this for twenty minutes.

I offer a recipe for a light vegetable salad, which, in addition to white cabbage and carrots, includes green radish. Preparing such a salad will not be difficult, the main thing is that the cabbage and carrots are juicy.

To prepare cabbage salad with carrots and radishes, I prepare the ingredients according to the list.

I chop the cabbage thinly, put it in a salad bowl, add salt and crush it with my hands so that the cabbage becomes softer.

Using a vegetable peeler, I cut the peeled carrots into ribbons (you can use a grater for Korean carrots).

I put it in a salad bowl, sprinkle it with sugar, mix it with cabbage and lightly knead it with my hands again.
