Bring the rice covered with water to a boil. Pour the grated pumpkin pulp, steamed raisins and sugar into a saucepan with rice, add 2 cups of hot milk. Rice-pumpkin porridge needs to be boiled or, better said, simmer for 30-40 minutes, on a barely burning fire, stirring occasionally. Then, after removing from heat, add oil and wrap the pan with a blanket so that the porridge is infused for at least another 30 minutes.

In this dish, sugar can be replaced with honey, then the smell will be generally overwhelming.
