Cake emerald turtle. Cake "Emerald Turtle

Cake emerald turtle.  Cake

So! To make the cake we need:
- Condensed milk (in dough) - 1 ban.
- Egg (2 in cream, 1 in dough) - 3 pcs
-Soda slaked with vinegar (in the dough) - 1 tsp.
-Flour (+2 tablespoons in cream) - 450-470 g
- Milk (in cream) - 500 ml
- Sugar (in cream) - 1 stack.
- Vanilla sugar (in cream) - 1 packet.
- Butter (in cream) - 200 g

Kiwi (about 1 kg)
- Bananas (3-4 pieces).
- Aerosol cream.

The cakes are baked very quickly, literally 15 minutes and all the cakes are baked, so first you need to cook the cream for the cake.
To do this, pour milk into a separate saucepan, then add 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of flour, a glass of sugar and a bag of vanilla sugar. Beat everything well with a whisk or a mixer.

We put the resulting mixture on a slow fire and cook until thickened. While cooking the cream, stir it constantly so that there are no lumps. As you can see, I did not manage to avoid lumps.
When the cream thickens, add butter to the hot cream, stir well and cover with a lid so that the cream does not cool down when we start to collect the cake.

Now let's make the dough. Pour the condensed milk into a bowl, add the egg and mix very well.

Then add soda slaked with vinegar and gradually add flour, constantly stirring the mass. When it becomes difficult to stir the dough with a spoon, transfer it to the work surface and knead it.

The dough should be soft and elastic, there should not be a lot of flour.
The resulting dough is rolled into a sausage and divided into 8 parts. I first divided it into two equal parts, divided the rest in the same way, until I got 8 parts of the dough.

We roll the dough into round balls and roll out the layers. Layers of dough can be rolled out all at once and stacked on top of each other. I additionally folded in half, and then put them on top of each other, since I have very little space on the table.
We pierce each layer with a fork in several places. If you do not pierce the dough with a fork, then bubbles will inflate in the dough layers during frying.

We fry the cakes in a regular pan, do not grease the pan with anything, leave it dry. They are baked very quickly, literally one minute and turn over. I made the cakes more toasty.

While the cake is hot, cut off the edges of it on a plate of the desired size. We leave the edges, it will be needed for sprinkling the cake.

Now let's assemble the cake. Peel bananas and kiwi and cut into thin circles.

We lay out the first cake. We smear it with cream, then spread the kiwi and smear it with whipped cream on top.

Top with the next cake, put bananas and whipped cream on top.

So we collect the whole cake, alternating bananas and kiwi. Cake-cream-fruit-cream-cake and so on.

The resulting cake is smeared on top again with cream and sprinkled with sprinkles. Sprinkling is made from scraps of cakes, grind them into crumbs.

There is another way to decorate. Instead of sprinkling, we cover with thin circles of kiwi.

Now decoration. From kiwi we make a head for a turtle, paws and a tail. I garnished with some more whipped cream.

Here's what the end result looks like.

The cake is delicious and very filling! Ready for about an hour.

Bon appetit!

Cake "Emerald Turtle" ready-made

Kiwi, such an unusual fruit with an incredibly high content of useful elements, is liked by many, and is used as an independent dessert, and as a filler for desserts and even vegetable and meat dishes. It is a mistake to believe that the kiwi is the way out of New Zealand, as many people think. The birthplace of the fruit is ancient China, where the fruit was first grown.

A cultivated plant was brought to New Zealand only by 1906, calling it "Chinese gooseberry". And later, when the demand for an unusual fruit began to grow, they gave it the name of the Kiwi bird, which is a symbol of a country of national importance.

How to cook an emerald cake with condensed milk

At the beginning of the process of preparing the cake, let's take care of the cream. The custard will cool down perfectly while we cook in a pan (or in the oven) shortcakes for the base of the cake. In addition, it does not tolerate distracted attention. That is, during its preparation, you should not be distracted, otherwise it will burn.

It is worth noting: The cream, which we will now deal with, is great not only for impregnating cake layers, but also perfectly complements any, especially as a filler for.

Break the eggs into a bowl and beat them well.

You need to divide the finished dough by about 10 or 12, but of different sizes, since we will collect a cake in the form of a turtle, where the shell narrows to the top. That is, roll about 5 larger balls, make 4 smaller balls, and the rest are very small.

You don’t have to bother: make all the balls (8 pieces) of the same size, and adjust the bumps and edges (in size to decrease) by trimming the diameter of plates of different sizes.

On a work surface lightly powdered with flour, roll out our shortcakes into thin flat cakes.

Rolled out dough for cakes needs to be “perforated” with a fork

We prick their surface with a fork so that they do not bubble and remain even when baking.

We start baking cakes. You can cook shortcakes in the oven, but we will make it easier: fry them in a preheated large frying pan (or whatever you have).

"Baking" the cake in a pan

You need to fry on both sides, turning over. You don't need to use frying oil.

We trim the finished cakes around the edges. To do this, we will use a plate.

If there are no different diameters of plates to fit a different size slide, then you can prepare (for example, from cardboard).

Cake layers "Emerald Turtle"

We won't throw away the scraps. Firstly, the kids will eat them with pleasure, and secondly, they will be useful to us when assembling the cake.

We begin to deal with kiwi fruits. They need to be thoroughly washed and peeled.

Cut the peeled fruit into rings or ovals.

We collect the Emerald cake

On the base (plate, tray or) we lay the first cake, and grease it with cream.

Put rings or ovals of kiwi on the smeared cake. We cover everything with the second shortbread, and also grease with cream and lay the kiwi.

Do you know that a very, very beautiful, simply gorgeous cake can be made surprisingly quickly and easily? To do this, you do not need to master the skill of decorating cakes and be able to make flowers, berries and leaves from cream and mastic. You don’t even need the ability to work with caramel and icing. And you will be able to achieve an amazing effect with the help of the well-known, beloved, juicy and bright kiwi! Because we will prepare a simple, but spectacular and delicious cake under the symbolic name "Emerald Turtle".

By the way, another advantage of this cake is that you don’t need an oven to cook the cakes - they are baked right in the pan. Are you intrigued? Then let's get started. And at the same time we will learn about other possibilities for preparing such a wonderful dessert.

Classic cake "Emerald Turtle"

Ingredients:
  • Bank of condensed milk;
  • 2 incomplete glasses of flour;
  • 1 egg;
  • A pinch of vanillin;
  • A teaspoon of slaked soda.
For cream:
  • 2 eggs;
  • 2 tablespoons of flour;
  • 2 glasses of milk;
  • 1 glass of granulated sugar;
  • 1 pack of butter;
  • A packet of vanilla sugar.
Cooking:

First you need to knead the dough. This is done very simply and quickly. Pour the condensed milk into a bowl, break one egg there, add the soda quenched with vinegar or lemon juice, vanillin and beat it all with a whisk until smooth. Then gradually, in small portions, we begin to add the sifted flour, kneading the elastic dough. We spread the finished dough on a table sprinkled with flour and divide it into eight identical parts. Kiwi (a lot - six to eight pieces), peeled and cut into circles.

Now you need to prepare the cream, since the cakes are baked very quickly, and you also need to collect the cake from warm cakes and hot cream. So, beat the eggs with sugar and mix the resulting mass with flour. Pour milk into a saucepan, add vanilla sugar and egg-flour mixture. Mix everything well and put the saucepan on a slow fire. Without stopping stirring, boil the cream until thick, and at the end add the butter. Turn off the heat, mix the cream well and cover the pan with a lid.

Now let's start baking cakes in a pan. We roll out eight cakes from the dough according to the size of the pan in which we will bake them, and prick them in several places with a fork. We grease the pan with oil, put it on the fire and alternately bake cakes on it, frying them on each side for no longer than one minute. We put the finished cakes in a pile so that they do not have time to cool.

Now we collect the cake, laying the cakes on top of each other and smearing them with cream. We cut off the edges of the cake, and put the trimmings in a bowl and fill them with the remaining cream. We leave the cake and trimmings in the cream to soak, and then coat the cake with a creamy mass, forming it in the form of a turtle shell. We lay out kiwi circles on top, and also cut out paws and a muzzle from whole berries. That's all! Our "Emerald Turtle" is ready!

Jelly cake "Emerald Turtle"

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups fat thick sour cream;
  • A glass of granulated sugar;
  • Half a kilo of sweet crackers;
  • 60 grams of gelatin;
  • A bag of vanilla sugar;
  • Kiwi.
Cooking:

First you need to soak the gelatin by pouring it with cold water. We look at the proportions and soaking time on the packaging, as different manufacturers recommend different ways to use it. While the gelatin swells, prepare the cake pan. It is best to take a round bowl, which, when turned upside down, resembles a turtle shell. Wash bowl and wipe dry. Peel off the skin and cut into slices of kiwi.

Now we put the swollen gelatin in a water bath, add a little more water to it (much less than indicated in the instructions) and heat it until completely dissolved. Next, we proceed to a very important stage in the preparation of the cake. We take a culinary brush and, dipping it in liquid gelatin, grease the form from the inside, while laying out its bottom and walls with kiwi slices. This must be done quickly, as a thin layer of gelatin thickens almost immediately. We remove the form in the refrigerator and proceed to the preparation of jelly.

Put the chilled sour cream in a suitable bowl, add sugar to it and beat until fluffy. If you can’t achieve splendor, don’t worry - jelly will still work. Crackers break into small pieces and pour them into sour cream. Mix the resulting mass and pour gelatin into it. Now we take out the mold from the refrigerator and carefully pour the sour cream mass into it. We send the bowl back to the refrigerator and leave it there until the jelly is completely solidified.

Before serving, dip the bowl into hot water for a few seconds, and then carefully tip it onto a dish, removing the cake from the mold. To complete the image of a turtle, we make a head and paws from kiwi.

Cake "Emerald Turtle" from biscuit cookies

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 6 eggs;
  • One and a half cups of sugar;
  • a teaspoon of baking soda;
  • Half a glass of walnuts;
  • 4-5 pieces of kiwi.
For cream:
  • Butter pack:
  • Half a glass of sour cream;
  • Bank of boiled condensed milk;
  • Vanillin.
Cooking:

Break the eggs into a bowl, add sugar to them and beat with a mixer until white. Now we mix the sifted flour with soda (quicklime!) And pour it into the egg-sugar mixture, kneading the dough. Turn on the oven and let it warm up to 200 degrees. We cover the baking sheet with baking paper and spread the dough on it with a tablespoon, placing the cakes two centimeters apart. Bake biscuit cookies until browned. We remove the finished cookies from the baking sheet, bake the next portion and so on - until all the dough is over.

Whilst the cookies are cooling, beat the cream. To do this, mix soft butter with sour cream, beat lightly, and then, continuing to beat, add boiled condensed milk in small portions. At the end put a pinch of vanilla. We collect a cake from cookies, smeared with cream, we form a turtle. Paws and a muzzle can also be made from cookies. We coat the whole cake with cream on top and decorate it with kiwi circles and nut kernels. We put the cake in the refrigerator for several hours, after which our "Emerald Turtle" is ready to go to the table.

As you can see, the "Emerald Turtle" can be very different. What turtle do you like? Try the simplest and most famous recipe for making this dessert first. And if you are a supporter of culinary experiments, then a jelly version or a biscuit cake will definitely interest you. Don't be afraid to try new things and enjoy cooking. Bon appetit and success in the culinary field!

  1. Prepare the custard for the Emerald Turtle Cake. Pour milk into a saucepan and put on fire. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the flour and mix thoroughly with a fork until completely smooth.
  2. As soon as the milk boils, reduce the heat to the weakest and pour vanilla and regular sugar into it in a thin stream. Beating the egg dough with a fork, pour hot sweetened milk into it by spoonfuls. Thus, pour about a quarter of the milk into the egg mixture.
  3. While stirring the boiling milk in a saucepan, pour the egg mass into it in a thin stream. While stirring with a spoon or whisk, cook the custard until thickened (1-2 minutes). Remove the pan from the heat, add the butter and stir thoroughly until it dissolves. Cover the saucepan with cream.
  4. Prepare dough for Emerald Turtle Cake. To do this, first sift the flour through a sieve into a bowl. Pour the condensed milk into a separate bowl, add the egg and beat with a mixer until smooth. Combine the mass of condensed milk and half the flour, mix.
  5. Quench the soda with vinegar and mix into the condensed milk dough. Then add the remaining flour and knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. Put the ball on a floured table and knead it a little with your hands.
  6. Roll the dough into a "sausage" and cut it into 8 pieces. At the same time, 4-5 pieces are larger, and the rest are slightly smaller. Roll out each piece of dough into a round about 20 cm on a floured surface. The last 3-4 cakes should be 1-3 cm smaller in diameter. Prick each layer with a fork in several places. To make the cakes even, cut them out with a large plate of the desired diameter.
  7. Prepare the cake layers for the Turtle cake in a pan or in the oven at 180/200C (10-12 minutes). To do this, put the pan on the fire and heat it up strongly. Put one cake layer on a hot frying pan. After a couple of minutes or when it turns brown, turn it over to the other side.
  8. Fry all the other cakes in this way. If you want to bake cake layers in the oven, you need to cover the baking sheet with parchment paper or sprinkle well with flour. Cool the finished cakes on a wire rack.
  9. Kiwi for Turtle Cake needs to be peeled and thinly sliced. Place the cream cakes on a dish in the following order: largest cake, custard, next cake, cream, etc. You need to fold the cakes in descending order in diameter so that the top one is the smallest.
  10. Grease the surface and sides of the cake with the remaining custard and decorate with kiwi. Cut a half of kiwi lengthwise into two parts, put one quarter as a “tortoise head”, and cut the second into two parts and make “paws” out of them. The "eyes" of the turtle can be made into pieces of chocolate or simply slightly cut with a knife.
  11. Leave the Emerald Turtle cake for 4-6 hours in the refrigerator for impregnation. Then take out the dish, cut the kiwi cake into portions and serve. Happy tea!
